Geo-Data and Geo-Information

Everything on the surface of our planet is defined by coordinates, often a cross marks the place…  as already Indiana Jones stated. Geo is so much, and a place is characterised by the matter on which we put our feet, what we find there, organic and anorganic, sub-soil or supra-soil. And most important, the people we meet there.

In former times a vague and rough description of a place and direction was sufficient, today we expect so much more precise locational data and descriptive information, all what we refer today commonly as Geo Data. This was (and is) my dedication and profession for more than 40 years.
